I changed the BIOS to F43 witch sets the VDDC to 1,09V and the results were dramatic in terms of temperature and power consumption.

Original BIOS: VDDC:1,25V Temp: 77c  system power consumption: 375W
F43 BIOS: VDDC: 1,09V Temp: 70c system power consumption: 320W
The 7950 run with 1100/1250 Mhz, average Temp, power consumption over 10h full load, fan speed @ 66%.

My System:
AMD Phenom x6 1045t @ 3,6 GHz
8GB DDR2 @ 890 MHz
Gigabyte GA-M720-US3 Mainboard
Gigabyte GV-R795WF3-3GD
Corsair HX850 80Plus Gold
