The specs and the manual both say to go to GIGABYTE's website for the latest supported memory speeds and memory modules.
If you look at the Memory Support List on the website you will see that the board supports DDR3 1600 memory.
The Memory Support List shows what memory has been tested successfully with the board. It appears that DDR3 1600 appears to work OK.
All you can do is test some good DDR3 1600 memory with similar specs to that shown in the list.
BTW, AMD does not official support DDR3 1600 and higher memory with their CPUs before the AMD FXs.
However a lot of people have had success with older CPUs with DDR3 1600 and higher memory.
