« on: December 01, 2013, 11:49:11 am »
Hi,

My Windows7 only sees 3GB of the 4GB i installed in my motherboard GA-T671MG.
In the bios it show also 3GB. I have a dedicated GPU (HD7750) so it is not about that.

The bios is a Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG

My PC Specs are:

C2Q Q6600
4GB Ram ddr2-667
MSI R7750 OC

SO, what can i do ?

Couple of things here what OS do you have 32bit or 64bit. The 32bit will show from 3 to 3.25 & 3.50.

If it is 64bit and you are use onboard video that could be using the other 1gb.

At the Start button type msconfig. Then click on it at the top of the box. Once that windows opens click on boot / Advance options.

Make sure at the top that the two boxes are uncheck for # CPU's & max memory.

64-bit Windows 7.

And both two boxes were unchecked in MSConfig

have you tried one stick at a time. To see if it is reading them right.

you say it's not the onboard video as you have a card...  but is the onboard video still enabled?

i tried both the memory sticks just one and they both showed the full 2GB when starting windows with just 1mb hardware reserved. When i put both in i get 1025 mb Hardware reserved. And for the onboard video i don't know how to disable it but i think its not that.
