Currently using the GA-Z87MC-D3H motherboard that has the 4 USB 3.0 ports on the back as well as 2 additional 3.0 ports on the front of my case connected to the motherboard with the included connector. The issue is that even though I went through the installation CD and installed the intel usb 3.0 drivers (they show as "installed"), no matter which usb 3.0 slot I plug my usb 3.0 thumb drive into, I always get the "this device can perform much faster if you plug it in to a superspeed usb 3.0 port" message in Windows. I also notice that the read/write speeds are a lot less than on my other machine that has working USB 3.0 ports.
Is there something I am not doing properly in the setup or does USB 3.0 need to be enabled somewhere in the BIOS that I am simply not seeing?
