Faulty GTX 780Ti (GV-N78TOC-3GD) rev 1.0 cards!

So few days ago I bought GTX 780Ti (GV-N78TOC-3GD) titan, ran few benchmarks on stock clocks, everyghing looked fine until I ran 3Dmark11 in which card started showing me artifacts!. In every run I was getting plenty of artifacts... so I lowered a bit stock memory clocks...no improvements until I reached 1600mhz. A friend of mine bought the same card and has the same exact problem. So it doesn't look like an accident. It seems that RAM's in this cards are faulty.
What does it mean? Gigabyte isn't testing properly cards before they leave factory?? It is unacceptable for my to spend a lot of money on card that can't even work properly on stock clocks...do GIGABYTE know the problem?

btw. my PSU is Corsair AX 850W and cards were also tested on Corsair TX650M

Is it just in 3Dmark11 the problem occurs, not in any games?

Either way it does seem faulty, I would take it back to the shop you bought it from, explain exactly whats happening.

I'm not sure how warranty works in Poland, but here in the UK if it's within the first year of purchase send back to the retailer/shop.

Only in 3Dmark 11 and occasionally in Fire Strike. We send them back to shop and wait for new one's!

Hi OrionIndigo! I have the same problems (my card is exactly like yours). Actually the artifacts in 3DMark are the least of your concerns, the big problem lies when you play a demanding game (Tomb Raider and Crysis 3 for me) and the Fire Strike test in 3DMark. The card basically shuts down on me. It hard resets, as if the OC is not stable enough.

The only way I can use the card is if I downclock the memory speed in MSI Afterburner (it works with -150MHz). But that's besides the point. I shouldn't have to downclock an overclocked graphics card! Or else I'd have bought the reference one for cheaper!... I'm RMA'ing mine and hopefully will get a GTX 780 Ti from a different brand (either MSI, EVGA or ASUS). If you look around the internet the problem seems to be everywhere (as high as 4 faulty ones in every in 5 cards!!) Gigabyte seemed to really have screwed up with this line of cards.

I have got myself GTX 780Ti (GV-N78TOC-3GD rev 1) at the beginning of January. My unit does not suffer from artifacts in 3D demanding environments but as long as an app requires extensive usage of GPU - DVI output flickers - it looks like the card would change resolution (from 1920x1200@59.9Hz to 1920x1200@60Hz - there is a problem with DVI 60Hz setting in Windows so I have tried creating a custom resolution with 60.001Hz but still "resolution swap" occurs.
Otherwise card works fine...
I do use 850W Antec Signature Line, but this PSU is over 5 yo and card does not require that much power (my previous MSI R7970 Lightning was much greater strain).
With such issues, pack the card and return it to store as quickly as possible...

My GigaByte 780 Ti GHZ is useless. It randomly crashes my computer. I have tried the card in 2 of my friends computers and the same thing happens every single time.

I did try a Asus 780 Ti and it works perfectly.

Motherboard: Asus X79-Deluxe
CPU : I7-4820K (Socket 2011)
Memory: Team Group Xtreem-LV-2400
Power: Corsair HX Series HX1050

Gigabyte 780 Ti (GV-N78TGHZ-3GD) is crap.

Hi, sorry but I have bad news for you.

A LOT of the Gigabyte 780TI GHz have this problem. There are several threads around the web:

The real bad thing is that Gigabyte just won't admit that there is a problem (most of the time RMA is not accepted). I also had a pointless discussion with the Gigabyte support.

The only solution is that you modify the BIOS youself (you are losing the warranty!) as described in the links above. If you have the possibility change your card with an other brand (EVGA or whatever) - it seems that they are working as promised.
