Z68AP-D3 (rev 1.0) supporting rev 2.0 UEFI BIOS?

I am aware that this would not be a supported scenario, but would it be possible to flash the UEFI BIOS targeted towards the rev 2.0 board on the rev 1.0 board?

While there is a UEFI release for my specific board, it really doesn't work well at all, and it is quite old. I am also wondering whether DualBIOS would save me in case something goes terribly wrong.

Well unless you force the flash using a 3rd party utility the gigabyte flash routine would fail as file header id will
be specific for the board.

The file sizes are 4mb (normally uefi bios is 8mb) so they are very much cut down versions imho.
Is there something you specifically require of the bios?

If you are looking for missing overclocking options then I suspect the bios will be much the same regardless of
board revisions even if you managed to flash the bios across.
