GA-X38-DQ6 and GA-X48-DS5 GC-TPM no option in Bios

Hello All,
This is my first post on this forum despite being a Gigabyte Mobo fan for years.
I have a GA-X38-DQ6 Bios F9J beta and a GA-X48-DS5 Bios F8C beta Bios.
I have purchased 2 x Gigabyte GC-TPM Rev 1.0 (Part # GCTPMR-00-G) (Trusted Platform Modules) to connect to each motherboards TPM header.
After install neither motherboard Bios shows any difference i.e. no TPM security option to enable/disable the TPM. Its as if the TPM's are not plugged in to the mobo's?
Has anyone else had experience with the TPM headers and Bios options for these motherboards. It seems the TPM header is either a non working gimmick added to the boards or I am missing something in the Bios to enable it?
Any help or advice would be welcome thank you....

Update:
I contacted Gigabyte support and they kindly sent me a Bios for the GA-X48-DS5 (Bios version x48ds5.8b3), which now shows a 'Security Chip Configuration' option in the BIOS set-up screen.
Unfortunately, when the chip is enabled in the BIOS the system hangs after reboot:
What is frustrating, is that it runs through the normal boot process and then hangs showing a blank (black) screen just before it displays the BIOS boot screen that shows the component IRQ assignment and subsequently the message 'Verifying DMI Pool Data'.

If I remove three of the four 1GB RAM memory modules the BIOS boot process gets stuck showing a different screen i.e. It displays the detected AHCI drives list and brings up the 'AHCI BIOS installed' then simply a flashing cursor under this.
The system can only be retrieved by doing a hard reset, all keyboard inputs are ignored.

I have tried a different GC-TPM chip and get the same result so assume it is not the chip that is faulty.
If I disable the TPM chip in the BIOS the system responds and boots as normal without problems.....

It looks to me with my basic knowledge of BIOS image programing that the memory or IRQ map in the BIOS image given to me by Gigabyte is incorrect somewhere and causing a conflict with another motherboard device. I have come to this conclusion because of the difference in hanging boot behaviour when RAM modules are removed or installed.
So this looks as if I am at the mercy of the Gigabyte techs to correct the problem in the BIOS image they sent me.
Will keep this post updated. This info may come in useful to someone else one day!?

Stay with it and it could help some one else one day. I have never used a security device in almost 30 of using computers.

You will find that connection on almost every board out there too. The funny part is why would you put something on the board and no settings for it.

Hi, This is what I find unbelievably strange. Both my Gigabyte motherboards were original marketed and sold with TPM headers, yet it now seems the option to configure them was not made available in the BIOS settings.
Even now, after I have received a suitable BIOS (X48-DS5 only) from Gigabyte directly it does not work as it should and appears to be an afterthought by them.
Added to this Microsoft market their highest versions of Windows i.e. Windows 8.1 Pro and Windows 7 Ultimate with lots of emphasis on the Bitlocker feature. Although I am aware it is possible to use Bitlocker without hardware TPM, I would like to get it up and running using hardware to test its limitations etc...

I have played around with Bit-locker on one of my portable drives works great too.
