Hi Guys,
Not sure if anyone can help but I'm having problems upgrading the memory on my GIGABYTE system. When I google the symptoms I seem to get 1000's of hits but cant find any sensible solution.
SYMPTOMS
Memory detected at BIOS level by motherboard (GA-H55M-)
Win7 splash screen appears but hangs and fails to boot unless I return my old memory and remove Corsair memory.
Corsair memory is Corsair Vengeance, 2*4Gig, DDR3, 1.50v, 1600mhz
OS is Win7 64bit Home Premium (so should support up to 16Gig)
STEPS TAKEN SO FAR:
I have removed my current 4Gig memory and replaced with 2*4GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600mhz memory.
According to GIGABYTE website this memory is correct for my motherboard I have checked specifications. The motherboard can support from 800mhz up to 2200mhz (including 1600mhz DDR3 memory) and can support up to 16Gig.
The Operating system should support up to 16Gig (again checked Microsoft website for memory support on Win7 64 Bit home premium).
MSconfig has been checked and I confirm that I have UN-ticked the box to limit memory under the OS.
