System does not recognize all the installed RAM!

System does not recognize all the installed RAM!
« on: July 26, 2014, 07:53:08 pm »
Hello!

I have a question about the BIOS of the motherboard, but I would like to inform you that I am Brazilian and if there are any spelling error is due to the translator I'm using to post my question.

Come to the point:

I recently bought a motherboard from Gigabyte Model "GA-78LMT-UBS3 (rev 5.0) and place 2 sticks of memory with 4 GB capacity each.

However the OS only recognizes 7.98 GB of usable memory. I wonder what can I do to make my system recognize the 8GB installed?

But my video is offboard, as might be being used in onboard?
I disabled the onboard in the BIOS, it would be another type of problem?

You have no problem in there.Your RAM is being fully used. Some RAM is always hardware reserved and not passed to the OS to be used.
