Gigabyte 990fxa-ud3 maximum number of hard drives
« on: July 31, 2014, 02:30:25 pm »
I have two computers, one currently is not operating, but on my main desktop I am running a 180gb SSD for the OS(Windows 7) and have a 1tb for stroage and programs. I was wondering if I could pull my 2tb from my non working htpc media computer and put it into my main desktop, so that I can continue to stream videos as I was previously doing with the htpc. I know that I can just plug it in and hope it works, but wanted to make sure that the OS or MB would not ignore it because it's a third HD or because of the size. As it is nearly full and the 1tb has a large amount on it and I would not like to buy a new hard drive right now, it would help if I was able to plug and go essentially.
Thanks
