Hi!
So I'm trying to develop some android stuff and I read about something called HAXM which would speed up the android emulator on my computer alot.
So I check in my BIOS there's a bunch of options which are greyed out (why can't I change these?). I also did update to the latest beta bios to see if that would help, but it didn't make any difference for this problem.
One of the options were VT-d which was ENABLED but greyed out.
Another option: Virtualization Technology was however ENABLED and I could change that one. But I want Virtualization but with VT-x
So I try to install HAXM and it says:
"This computer does not support Intel Virtualization Technology (VT-x). HAXM cannot be installed. Please refer to the Intel HAXM documentation for more information"
So I visit this web page:
http://ark.intel.com/compare/75122 where it says my processor i7 4770K does indeed support VT-x
But is the problem that the motherboard does not?
In Windows 8.1 I have a program called CrystalCPUID and it shows that VT is not enabled.
Anyone have any clue about this?
