Hello Niki,
Yes the GA-MA790X-DS4 does suppoprt the PhenomII x2 545 from bios F7. If your bios is earlier than this then you will need to flash bios before it will see the CPU. You can get latest bios from here: http://www.giga-byte.co.uk/Support/Motherboard/BIOS_Model.aspx?ProductID=2695&ver=

I have updated my BIOS to F7. Still won't work. Even with F9. Should I try F10beta?
My DVD-ROM's light is flashing every 2+ seconds as if my PC is restarting in a loop. No display at all.

Hi Niki,

As you have updated BIOS to F9 and are still having problems, in my opinion going to F10A beta would not be a good idea. What we need to do is find out what is causing you problems. Could you please post a few more details such as........

Is this a new build or upgrade?
What beeps, if any, are you getting from your mobo when you first power up?
What memory are you using and how much?
What other components have you installed? (Add-on cards, HDD's Etc.)
What is your PSU?

Cheers
