Z68X UD4 B3 - drivers - usb - hard disk - voltage - fan

good evening
different problems
w7 didn't start and then five or six freeze and shut down

-i think my mobo usb drivers are wrong, i have a seagate 1tb as primary disk c:,
and two my book external wd hard disk, 3tb and 4 tb. Till i bought the 4tb it was all perfect, then issues began.
I have etron drivers
-my logitech speakers are recognized the 40% of times, in the other 60% i have to go to control panel/devices and when i find -usb device not recognized- i have to use w7 troubleshooting utility to make them work.
-after installing a new fan and putting it to sys1, bios began to tell me that there could have been voltage errors due to an overclocking. I've never overclocked nothing in this pc and with this mobo.[/b][/b][/b]

I also have a strange -slave: slave:- for my primary hard disk and my dvd in bios

i really don't know what to do, i shouldn't be a beginner but in this case i got so many problems that i don't know where to start and how to fix
please help

i wrote i got different problems and the usb problem is one of them (but the worst)

then...if i've bought a 4tb hd is because i need it, "take it away and you 'll be fine" isn't a tech answer don't you think?

I think so if you take out the 4T drive and all runs normal that in itself is an answer.  It also gives us more information to go off of. Running 8Terbytes of hard drives in itself can create problems.  I guess the correct answer is did you try it and what were the results.

If you didn't try it then I am sure someone else can come in here with more knowledge than me and try to help you.

First off we are not techs here this is a user to user forum. We come here to try and help. Sorry if you think that isn't the answer you wanted.

But by what I read and he read that would be the same thing I would have said. Everything was fine till you plugged in the 4tb hard drive.

Unless you are sitting right in front of the computer. We our going on what people write. If there was something wrong with the 4tb.

When you plugged it in it could have shorted out and screwed things up om your motherboard.

ok so you say that 8tb could create my mobo problems? finally someone who says this"!!!!
i've read on my motherboard page in gigabyte site/support this update

and i can't understand it...my mobo shouldn't be able to read as many terabytes as i want?

i did not specify that these two problems came before i bought my wd 4tb hdd


should i flash bios in your opinion?

no i didn't mean you were "hardware professionals" i n italy we would say -risposta tecnologica non risposta da un tecnico- is a difficult translation but it should be -a tech answer not an answer by a tech-
as i wrote before everything was not fine till the 4tb, it was accettable (i hope is english)
then i experienced voltage problems (the fan, i'm almost sure)
usb etron problems
seatools for my primary hd says i have problems on hd

I look at your board and some times they do have a bios update to fix the large hard drive problem. But there wasn't any bios to do that.

I would try to update the bios, but only do the F10 one. I'm old school and I do the update different then most people.

I first go in and set the bios to the default settings save and reboot. Then I do the update. The other thing I do is after the bios has updated.

I shut down the computer. Pull the plug then, pull the battery and jump out the cmos for about ten minutes.

I then put the battery back in move or remove jumper. Some boards are different on the jumper. Then reboot the computer enter the bios.

Again set it to default settings save and reboot. Then I go back in make sure you have everything set to what you want plus time & date.

so your advice is to do a clear "old school" cmos 
i was thinking i had to flash bios with a new one, but i did not think i had to do a clear cmos
I've never flashed a bios, and i've never done a clear cmos
i think i'll try to flash in the ordinary way before take off batteries/jumper from my board

so you think that i should work on my board's bios and not work with drivers?
i would definetely prefer to work on software than hardware you know

but is known that etron usb drivers generates conflict with hard drives or you think
my mobo "crashed" after installing the fan (now unplugged)?
and why my mobo crashed after i put a fan on sys1?

Before you go any where do you have all the latest chipset drivers for you board. Do you have both of them installed.

i'm almost sure i installed all updated drivers
But i 'd like to check this, where can i?

Go to Device Manager and look under System Devices.
