EP45C-DS3 and Dram Voltage.
« on: March 14, 2010, 05:42:47 am »
Hi;
After i checked Kingston site for verified ddr3 rams for my board (http://www.ec.kingston.com/ecom/hyperx_us/modelsinfo.asp?SysID=59732)
i bought a dual channel memory kit  " KHX1333C7D3K2/4GX ".
I am using F5 final bios and i hope i am  setting up  timings right :)
7-7-7-20 for CAS latency time-tRCD-tRP-tRAS and left rest as auto including performance enhance at Turbo ( default ) as suggested at this page (http://www.kingston.com/hyperx/products/khx_ddr3.asp)  but there is no 1.65v option in my  bios only 1.64v and 1.66vas options.Wich voltage should i choose ?
Btw even i tried 1.64v manual setup i see 1.632v in PC Health Status section.
Is giving lower voltage than needed can give instability to system or should i go for 1.66v?
Tnx for your support and sorry for my poor english since its not my native language :)

Hi,
Put 1.64v and try with this software : http://www.memtest.org/
0 errors after few "pass" all is good
If memtest finds errors, try with 1.66v

Please remember the JEDEC DDR specs
DDR1 : 2.6v
DDR2 : 1.8v
DDR3 : 1.5v
