What kind of keyboard you using? Try a Ps2 keyboard. Did you clear the cmos after you did the update?

I'm old school when it comes to bios updates. I clear the cmos before updates. Then after I do a update I shut it down unplug the power. Pull the battery and jump out the cmos pins.

I let it sit for about 5 mins. Put the battery back in and reset the cmos jumper. Than go in and set it to default setting. Then I reboot then I go from there to reset everything. In over 20yrs of updating the bios I have only one that failed.

It seems kind of weird because 1 out of 10 times I can enter the BIOS

Everything else runs perfect. Just really anoyed about this BIOS!

I'll try and find an Ps2 keyboard but this isn't an solid solution in my book.
This is my first Gigabyte mobo and so far im NOT impressed! :(

How did you setup windows 7? When it boots do you use a boot manager from the bios? If so then you really have to keep a eye on the keyboard. When the cap/# light blink that is when I start to hit the DEL key. These boards can boot really fast so if you blink just for a sec you are done.

There is an issue Gigabyte seems to be in denial of that is affecting a huge amount of customers. Just unplug your C: drive and see if you can then enter the bios. There is TONS of threads on this forum about this problem.
