I get a beep about every 15Mins and its annoying but I am worried something more serious is wrong. I reset the Bios to Load fail safe defaults then Optimized defaults but all it did is change AHCI to IDE. I reset it to ATA but the problem persists. I had a seized case fan which I replaced and all the fans are now working but this beeping started before this problem and continues, perhaps someone can help. Motherboard is GA-H55M-USB3 Bios is ATA AHCI Ver iSrc 1.20E Graphics card is AMD Radeon HD 6800 series running Windows 7 64Bit. I tested the RAM using Windows and it checked out ok.

Two things I would check 1. Make sure you have the CPU fan plugged in the right port. 2. Look at the bios under PC Health Status. To make sure something isn't set right. This is in your book it is on page 55.

Thanks for your reply. The CPU fan has not been touched since I built the system years ago and is running ok when viewed with the case open. I will check PC Health when I next reboot. I am sure the CPU fan fail is enabled and I could disable it and see if this is the problem. I will advise ASAP.  :)

I turned off CPU warning temp and CPU Fan fail warning and beeps have stopped, it looks like the CPU fan is on its way out. I will turn them on again one at a time and see what happens. What do you think?

The solution seems to be Disabling the CPU temperature warning and leaving the CPU fan fail Enabled. I don't think the CPU is reaching the lower temperature limit in the BIOS and the intermittent beeps have now stopped with this setting. How this setting in the BIOS changed I am not sure as I am sure it beeped before the case fan failure and replacement.
