No Display, Not GPU

No Display, Not GPU
« on: March 19, 2015, 11:04:22 am »
Hi i have a x58a-ud3r board in my computer, at some point last week i came to turn on the pc and got no display on my monitor, at first i thought it was the gpu so i borrowed my brothers to try and see if that worked still no display, i dismantled the computer thinking it could be a short on the board to no success. i then resat the cpu and disconnected everything from the board except the gpu and cpu still blank. i have resat the ram and checked the ram is working in another machine. i also reset the cmos and removed the battery.

So bottom line is im stumped. im thinking the board is bust but dont want to splash out on another. system specs are as follows:

x58a-ud3r board
I7 930 cpu (no Overclock)
gtx 970

It is defenetly not my gpu as i know this works in another computer. any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

One thing you did say you tried was the monitor or cable?
