Intermittent power off

Intermittent power off
« on: April 05, 2015, 06:24:07 pm »
My GA-Z87X-UD5H has started to intermittently power off and back on.  The code I get is 03, wake state.  I checked all cables and they seem all seated. Temps are consistent on cores; 41C is a high but generally all are in the 30's.  When it powers off I don't loose anything, I just sometimes get a flciker or I hear all the fans stop and restart.  Thanks.

Try re-seating the power cables. Plus try the power plug from the wall to the computer too.

I went over all the plugs one by one  once again, everything is seated. I ran memtest and no errors there. All the fans are working, temps look good all  cores are around 30C. I removed the memory stick and re-installed also. Just as I started this response it happened again, computer was only on about 15 mins.

Update: To clarify, the computer does not go completely off, my screen stays on.  I hear a click, the fans go off and they start right up again.  Again, check all cables and memory twice. The video card removed and re-installed.  The interior is kept clean, no dust.

Third time is a charm as the saying goes....I hope. Did it all over again, so far it is running ok.  There must have been a loose connection somewhere...

One thing I would try before you RMA the board. Is unplug the power and the reset wires for the front panel. Start the computer by jumping out the 2 pins for power.
