Hi All,

This is my first time building a PC. The PC boots (no beeps, no display) fans are working, led lights from case etc. Just no BIOS.

Equipment list:
CHASSIS: NZXT Phantom 530 White Edition
MB: 990FXA-UD3 rev 4
CPU: AMD FX6300 Black Edition 6 Core (3.5/4.1GHz, 8MB Level 3 Cache, 6MB Level 2 Cache, Socket AM3+, 95W
MEM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 2400MHz 8gb (x2)
GRAPHICS: Sapphire PCI Express R7 260X 2GB Graphics Card
PSU: Zalman ZM550-XG 550W ATX 12V V2.3 Semi Modular Power Supply
HARD DRIVES: 2 X Kingston Technology 120GB Solid State Drive 2.5-inch V300 SATA 3  and 3 X Seagate Barracuda 3.5 inch 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB 6GB/S Internal SATA Drive
DVD: Pioneer Bluray Player

I've tried disconnecting hard drives and dvd player. Inserting a single ram dimm. Alternative pci slots for graphics card but I get no display whatsoever.

All help much appreciated.

Regards,
Lance

Make sure all motherboard and video card power connections are in place.

Questions to consider:

Can you measure the 12 volt and 5 volt rails with a multimeter?

Does the CPU heat sink get warm to touch?

Did any of the CPU pins get bent?

Does substituting components (CPU, video, power supply) help?
