No display after installing new GTX960 in Gigabyte P67A UD4 B3

Hi all,

I have just purchased and installed an MSi GTX960 Gaming 4G. I am not getting any signal via HDMI. The pc sounds to start up fine just like how it used to. All LEDs light up etc. My motherboard has no onboard display ports. What could be the issue? My specs are:

CPU: i5 2500k
Mobo: Gigabyte P67A UD4 B3
RAM: 16GB DDR3 1600
PSU: Huntkey AFPC 700W

Please assist. Thanks.

Hi  ... unfortunately I cannot help you, but you MAY be able to help me. (Sorry about that  :D).
The thing is I have the same motherboard as yourself and raised a post (See http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php?topic=16082.0) over  week ago.
Unfortunately I have had 0 replies, as presumably not many others have the same board.
My question is simple..... can you get your motherboard's SATA to operate in AHCI mode?
Thanks in advance.

I just recently did a new custom build with GA-Z97X-Gaming 7 mobo, Intel i7 4790K, DDR3 RAM 2400mhz....and trying to use an old monitor with VGA connections I got the same "No Signal" error message. It wasn't till i used a DVI cable and I got a signal. Which got to to thinking that it's something to do with a BIOS settings. As of yet I haven't found a setting for it.

The newer cards yes might work on older boards. But I sold one to somebody that was running a Z79 / 2011 board and had problems. These were made to be used on newer boards. The Op has many things that will cause his problem. A board that only supports 2.0 card and a sandy bridge CPU that only supports 2.0 cards.
