GA 970A-UD3P REV1.0 LATEST BIOS

Hey,

so i'll start with a story. purchased a gtx 980ti to go in my system

motherboard as above
8320 black edition cpu @ stock now
8gb corsair ram
corsair cx750m psu
various ssd/hdd
inno3d gtx 980ti ultra 3
windows 8.1

so after installing the new card ( previous drivers removed correctly) when I put my password in windows would take 30 seconds to come on. not freezing but just taking its time. so I successfully updated the bios which didn't fix it. my son turned it off via the power switch(pain in the backside he's only 4)I tried to turn on say 30 minutes later and now its stuck on a loop where as it goes to the gigabyte uefi blue/green screen then restarts and keeps going. And it wont let me press any buttons to get in the bios

as far as I can see everything is plugged in where it should be and ive checked and checked over this. is it fair to say the flash has caused issues on my board? also I have tried to reset cmos via taking the battery out to no avail

You can try this:

Here's what worked for mine:
1. Turn off machine.
2. Press and hold reset button.
3. Press power button while keeping reset button pressed for 10 secs then release.
4. Wait until the backup BIOS prompts and asks to install backup to main BIOS.
5. A window will pop-up stating that the main BIOS is corrupted and needs to reflash, I hit "install"
6. After installing the bios, it will ask to boot or reboot, then will ask to load default or optimized settings in the BIOS.
7. After that, I regained control over my system.
