MB's: GA-Z170X-Gaming 7 (rev. 1.0)' and the 'GA-Z170X-Gaming G1 (rev. 1.0) are the only Gigabyte motherboards using the MegaChip LSPCON MCDP2800. Perhaps that means the boards are HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 capable. But a note in the spec says, "HDMI feature is currently limited. Visit GIGABYTE website for future updates."
Do we know what that means?
Is it a case of buying the motherboard now but getting a firmware upgrade later? Maybe it has HDMI 1.4 now.
