Gigabyte 970a UD3 not supporing Ultra Fast Boot?

Gigabyte 970a UD3 not supporing Ultra Fast Boot?
« on: August 29, 2015, 08:25:14 pm »
Hi, I have just installed windows 10 on my new SSD (UEFI MODE) and I checked setting on motherboard, but is missing something like "fast boot"
I have already updated the BIOS (latest official version) and still no luck.

It does not support ultra fast boot?

On windows 10 I have disabled Hybrid startup, is this the reason why is missing this setting on BIOS?

I just searched your manual (board rev v1.2) using the value "fast" and I didn't get any hits, except for those stating to disable ports/channels where no devices are connected/present. There doesn't appear to be a newer BIOS with this option available.  Your board doesn't appear to support this.

Thank you but mine is rev 3.0, even with the latest BIOS I don't have the option, as I suspected it does not support it.

I imagine you still see good performance with an SSD.  25-40 sec. boot to desktop?  I'm only using "Fast" on my z97 (RAID 0) and I'm seeing 12 sec (cold boot) to my desktop.  My z68 rig is 22 sec.  Speed these days is amazing.   :)
