Hello gentlemen. I am a proud 4 year owner of a GA-X58A-OC motherboard running an i7-990x with 24GB memory. I never got around to ''overclocking'' or know this culture. I did press the 4G button and was able to get that speed, however, what is the maximum speed I can get from my workstation without building crazy liquid nitrogen benchmark testing. I am a video editor. When I go into the BIOS, it's all ''chinese'' to me.
I plan to purchase a new Kingston HyperX SSD for my PCIe 2nd gen x4 slot. I know it will boost my 4K UHD aerial file footage, read and write.
My Corsair Vengeance kit reads 1600MHZ, 4GB each stick. Total of 24GB. 9-9-9-24 1.5V ver2.12
What is the maximum setting that is conservatively safe to boost my processor and perhaps memory to maximum speed? My Power Supply is 1200Watts.
Thanks guys. I am more than happy to commission any individual for an Amazon Gift card if he's able to guide me.
