I have a Gigabyte GA-Z97 Gaming 7 mobo with GSkill Trident 2400mhz RAM (2 x 8 GB). What are the XMP settings I should use for this mobo....and how do I change it in the BIOS? In the BIOS which GUI should I use to change it....the classic style or the new GUI style?

XMP was developed by intel.  The benefit of XMP is you don't have to set multiplier, timings or voltage.  On supported modules, XMP is programmed into the memory.  See image ref below.  If your memory is not on the QVL for your board, or fails to work properly, it is sometimes possible to set the correct parameters manually under Advanced Frequency Settings. BIOS >MIT.  Check your manual.  I use the classic interface as I am in my BIOS infrequently (read never) set and forget.

XMP is part of SPD spec.
