Z170X-UD3/HX424C12SBK2/Not stable
« on: October 02, 2015, 10:30:48 pm »
Hello,

(kind of familiar problem like Mario79 has)
I just bought an UD3 motherboard, and I'm sad panda now. This is my first Intel build, I built mostly AMD ones for years... without any problems (99% of the times).
But I never encountered this kind of problem before. I can't get it to be stable, no matter what. I using a 6700k with a new (just released) HyperX HX424C12SBK2/8 kit. When the windows logs in the account it's freezes or bsods and reboots, also when I try to install Windows, It does the same thing after clicking next. It doesn't matter, if I try to use JEDEC (2132Mhz/C15) or XMP1/2(2400Mhz/CL12) (2132/CL12). But bios stable!
I also tried bios F3 and F4f (beta), without any luck.

I'm pretty sure that I have to play with RAM settings, but I never did that, so If anyone could show me the way, that would be great. And It would be good to resolve this issue for everybody in the start, if somebody thinking about buying new kingston RAMs (with XMP2.0 which doesn't work :) ) for these NEW Z170 boards. (or even fix the bios)

Config:
i7 6700k (NO OC) (it works for sure)
HyperX HX424C12SBK2/8 (8GB 2400MHz DDR4 CL12 DIMM (Kit of 2)) (bad memory??)
GA-Z170X-UD3 (rev. 1.0) (bad board??)
Evga G2 850 (I will test it tomorrow)
Onboard IGP for testing (GB 270x) (it works for sure)
OCZ Vertex 4 (it works for sure)
Windows 10 x64

can you go into bios and hit set up defaults and reboot. Is it stable then?
