The reason you are having a problem is that CPU will only support DDR3 1066/1333 at stock speeds. If you OC the CPU a little you might be able to get them to or you might not.
This what the board will support for DDR3 2800(OC)/1600/1333/1066 MHz memory modules. You are running a sandy bridge CPU. If you put in a Ivory Bridge you might have better chance on getting them to work. The Ivory bridge will support 1600.
If you can return them I would get 1600 or 1333 speed memory. Where you running that CPU I would get 1333.
