Help me

I can no activate xmp or overclock on my x99 sli board without it crashing and loading the optimised defaults. I even sent my ram back and made sure i got some that is listed as supported and i still can't overclock without failure.

Even if i leave the cpu at stock and just turn xmp on, fail.

Using the latest beta bios, i have tried flashing.

I was hesitant about getting another gigabyte board as had issues with sandybridge, but the price was cheaper.

help me

Sorry this isn't telling us nothing. Yes you are having a problem, but what memory are you trying to run? If you are running any thing higher then 2133 you have set manual.

CMK16GX4M4A2400C14

with a 5820k windows 10

i have tried two different speeds of ram, sent the first set back. also tried one stick at a time, trying to get the xmp to work on them and i have memory tested.

what could be causing instability?

I could be wrong because thing change so much. But you really can't use the XMP with faster than 2133. You will have manual set the speed and timings. I was going to check my bios because I do have some 2400 memory.

But I have started to get the black screen when trying to get into the bios. It has something to do with the sata hard drives connect.
