x99m Gaming 5 error code 73 and more

Alright so this is my first build and since I've had this board I've had quite a few issues.

I started running into issues when error code 73 started appearing. It didn't seem to cause any major problems. I could boot fine log into windows and go about my business. And with a simple restart the LED would read AA. But the issue still stands that something isn't right.

I then ran into random freeze ups with audio loops. They could be days or weeks apart. I ran memtest which the first time just stopped. Then I ran it again for 8 hours with no problems. I down clocked my 2400 ram to 2133 and the freezes seemed to have stopped but I will have to update if it reappears. My 2x8gb sticks are seated in the recommended spots as well.

A short time later I began running into boot loops or just no boot at all. For some reason I realized this just started happening after I began leaving my PS4 controller plugged into the front usb ports of my case. Realizing this I began leaving the ports empty on boot even to the extent of usb cords with nothing connected. This seemed to solve the boot issue as well as the error code 73 issue for awhile.

But now error code 73 is beginning to pop up even with the ports empty.

I'm not looking for immediate answers but if someone could suggest something to try it would be appreciated.

So it turns out the 73 debug error code only occurs when my computer is powered on. As stated before it goes away after a restart and displays AA.

I did some research on the code 73 to 76. There is a lot people having that problem with those code. Some have fix doing different things and some have not. But like you said it goes away after a reboot.

I myself don't really care what code it says. If the computer is booting and it is running fine who cares what it says. But what I have read it has to do with the SSD's / HHd's.

Thanks for the reply. I decided to look into fixes involving the ssd/hdd. I stumbled upon a fix some people suggest which was disconnecting any drive in SATA port 4. It seems to have worked. I'll update in a week or so.
