Hi
I have a question about whether my RAM is compatible with my Gigabyte GA-970a-UD3 as I have recently upgraded my computer and now suffer random reboots so wondering if it could be a ram issue.
I had before upgrade 2x4GB 1333MHz memory and now I have upgraded to 2x8GB of 1600MHz memory. The other upgrade beside RAM is that I replaced my AMD FX 6100 with a AMD FX 8350, don't know if that could be a issue.
Anyways I have been trying to troubleshoot by looking first at the temperatures thinking it could be a overheating issue but these are fine, my cpu is at like 40-45c during load (like gaming) and my gpu is at like 50-60c. I have also tested both my harddrives with SeaTools (DOS version) and they both pass so no issues there. So I am thinking its either a power issue or faulty or incompatible/bad RAM.
Here is my setup:
PSU: Corsair TX 750W
GPU: Sapphire Radeon R9 280 Dual-X OC
Processor: AMD FX 8350 Black Edition
CPU cooling: Noctua NH-D15
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970a-UD3
New RAM: Crucial DDR3 BallistiX Sport 16GB KIT, modelnumber: BLS2CP8G3D1609DS1S00CEU
At the moment I have my old RAM installed and so far no reboot but they are kinda sudden so don't know if the issue is resolved or not. Anyways hope for some help. Thanks
