x58a-ud3r (rev2) no display, no beep
« on: April 29, 2016, 02:07:04 pm »
For some unknown reason these past few days my pc no longer boots.

It doesn't not show any display, post or makes a speaker beeps.

I tested it with different working PSU, GPU and RAM.

I have reseated the CPU, and reapply new thermal paste.

All it does when powered on is
-CPU fan spins
-lights near RAM slots are on
-there is a static muffle can be heard in the motherboard speaker when initially powered on (but no beeps
-cpu voltage lights are off
-northbridge lights are off.

Unfortunately this board is way to old for RMA.
Any solutions or suggestions of what to do?

It would be a waste of a good CPU if the board is faulty.

Have you tried to move the video card to another slots? Have tried to pull the battery and jump out the cmos?

yes, I just move it to all different slots and still no display or beep.

I only used one 4gb RAM (for testing) in the recommended slot in the manual.

I have removed it outside of the case to test all these tests and it is not working

I also removed CMOS battery (for a few minutes) and also press clear cmos.

Is there a way to flash another BIOS or use the backup BIOS without seeing the display?
