Motherboard drivers

Hi !

I'd like to ask, which drivers are "proper" drivers for motherboards.
Those at official site for selected model or i can use more fresh drivers than those at official site.
Are drivers updated and the only which work the best with selected model ?

Typically the drivers on the manufacturers website have undergone some compatibility testing, development and/or QA.  You are always free to grab the latest available from another vendors website if you wish.  Its not possible to test every hardware/software/driver scenario, so no matter what sometimes you might run into problems.  If you have back ups, this is not an issue.

Yes you want to use the drivers for which board you are using. You shouldn't really use drivers that are for other boards. Yes a lot boards in a series like Z170 are basically the same but also stay with the driver for your board.

Plus one other thing because newer drivers are out there. But if you are not having a problem don't update. I have seen many people update drivers or bios and then have problems. They are there because a % of people do have problems.

I don't update things unless I'm having a problem. I have drivers that are over 2 yrs old. I have a saying "If it isn't broke don't fix it"". Plus I'm not telling not too. That is up to each person and how they run their computer.
