« on: August 12, 2016, 11:19:36 pm »
Hey everyone! Ive got a new fresh PC, booted fine, checked BIOS with no changes done.
Installed windows 7 from a DVD, restared and now Im stuck at bios POST screen. Can't enter bios, can't open boot options. Windows does not load either. Responds a normal restart for ctrl+alt+del.
Tried CMOS restart and batery removing - no luck.
Any ideas?

Greetings,
Start removing connected devices / components and restart until you find the culprit.  If you are using a wireless keyboard or mouse, start there by replacing with a wired one.

Only monitor (hdmi) and mouse (usb) no other components attached.

Are you using any type of adapter with the HDMI?

If yes, remove and try again.

If not, try connecting a display using VGA.

Have you tried booting from the secondary BIOS?

No adapters, HDMI directly,, tried 2 screens (TV and monitor)
I tried the recovery (Hold power button or holding power+restart) - perhaps there are  other option to initiate the secondary BIOS?

Haven't messed with any z170 boards yet.  See this post... should still apply to those boards without a switch such as yours.
