I've just bought a new TV which has a display port, I connected my GTX 780 via the port, but when I switched off and unplugged my computer the GPU was still receiving power and the lights remained on, there was no fan noise. The only way to stop the card from getting electric was to switch off the television at the plug, then the lights went out.
I have been told that the problem is a power option somewhere inside the BIOS, which needs to tell the MOBO to switch off power connection on shut down, so I thought here would be the best place to start. Does anyone have any experience with this problem and are aware of the setting I need and it's location in the BIOS setting? Or could it be a problem with the TV?
Thanks in advance for any help
