Need Advice EP45-UD3R & E7400 Overclocking

Hi all

Please feel free to share your experience for overclocking my rig.

Here the details

- INTEL C2D E7400
- Deepcool Killer whale CPU cooler
- Gigabyte EP45-UD3R
- Transcend Jetram 4gb dual channel
- Coolermaster Extreme power plus 550 watt
- Asus HD5750 1gb GDDR5

please guide me step by step to do overclocking since i'm don't know how to start with it..

Overclocking is basically trial and error of trying to get more performance. It can take a long time to reach a stable clock speed that you are happy with. As long as you keep within certain limitations, depending on the setup you should be fine!

I recommend getting Realtemp and Prime95, these can be useful to make sure your overclock is decent. The first records the temperature of the CPU. I would try and stay under 65C when under load. Prime95 is a useful tool which stresses the cpu, and can be used to test an overclock is stable. If it isn't, then some settings may need to be adjusted or you have reached a wall with your setup.
