Z170x-ud5 boot failiure

Hi. Sry for the double post but i did it in spanish. My english is not too good.

Here is my problem. When i Try to boot it, all start normally (watercooling corsair, gtx980ti, case fan, micro, ram and mobo lights) but just for less than a sec and then turn off. Then whenbibtry to boot again nothing happends until i unplug the power from the power supply.

I guess is the power supply that is not sending the correct amount of energy but this is killing me.

The setup is:

Z170x-ud5
I7 6700k
4x 8gb ddr4 gskill ripjaws
Gtx 980ti
Power supply NZXT 850 hale90 v2
Ssd sandisk 250gb
Hdd wd green 3tb

Thanks you and sry for any inconvenience.

Ps: i can make a video of the failiure and attach it if u need it.

Is this a new build??

What is the exact model and spec of your memory?
Is in on the QVL for your board?

Disconnect from power
Perform a battery pull

Remove all non-essential hardware, like second disk, etc.
Remove all ram except 1 stick

Re-insert MB battery, reconnect power.  Attempt power up again.

Hi! First of all thx u so much x ur reply.

The build is from march of this year. It never had a crash or a blue screen. Never tilt on any way.

Ram: G Skill Ripjaw 4 3000mhz. 4x8gb

Im really not sure about ur QVL question. When i bought em there were 2 choises. Hyper X or this g skills. The vendor told that this one were better for my setup.

About the seccond part. I already unplugged everything. GPU. Both HDD. Sound. 3 of 4 ram sticks. Also without ram stick on .

I also cleared cmos withbthe onboard button and Removed the battery.

In any case the results was the same. Side Fan. Watercooling fans. Microprocessor's led and ECO and OC button leds turns on for a single moment and then back to stand by. Where the onboard power button keeps turned on. But if i dont power off the power supply (unpluggin the cord or with the switch on/off) i cant boot it again.

Sorry if my english is too bad.

I'm not thrilled about your memory choice.  It usually requires some tweaking to run above 2133Mhz and just about everyone has problems with faster memory, except with corsair LPX, still you did have it running for a long while.

I'd continue troubleshooting with one stick installed.  Next step, you need to verify good power.  I'd test with a second PSU...  If that fails, I'd remove the board from the case and bench test it.  If the behavior remains, it will be going back for RMA anyway.

I would say it is more likely the power supply. I just got 5 Corsair 700w PSU. The 1st one I tried did the same thing you getting with your PSU. It would come on for a second and turn off. I had to do the same flip the switch or unplug it.

I swap it out with another and everything was fine. Plus will never buy another brand of PSU. I will stay with Corsair because of their support. Did a RMA and they sent me a shipping slip to ship it back.
