NO.8 SHOWING ON GIGABYTE Z77X UD5H mobo,after booting
« on: December 06, 2016, 08:56:16 pm »
I've recently bought a Gigabyte Z77X UD5H mobo.At the moment it is completely bare with only  1 DDR3 Crucial Ballistix Tactical 4gb module fitted and a Asus GTX750ti vga card.I use windows7 64bit, but no HDD or DVD Drive are connected.Every time I switch on,the cpu heatsink fan and the vga fans start working. But the monitor light stays yellow. After about 10secs everything stops. But I always get a Bios error code no.8.
Is there anyone here who knows for sure why this keeps happening.I would be extremely grateful

There is no No. 8 error code in the manual, so I would contact Gigabyte Support and see if they can provide additional insight.

If you purchased this board second hand..  consider that their problem is now yours.

While you are waiting for a reply...  I'd replace the MB battery, re-seat all devices (including CPU), and recheck all power connections.  I'd attempt POST with as little connected as possible.  The Z77 chipset was finicky about RAM.  If what you are using is not on the QVL, I'd try something that is.  Are you certain your PSU is functioning correctly?
