RAID 0 over U.2

RAID 0 over U.2
« on: April 07, 2017, 03:45:36 pm »
I want to use my Intel 750's in a RAID 0 using the U.2 ports (not bootable).  One on the U.2 connections uses the PLX switch and the other does not.  I am concerned that the use of the switch will get in the way of the RAID.  Is there a problem with a non-bootable RAID array between the two U.2 connections?

Question.  What board is this?  X99?  I work in the building next door to Broadcom and PLX in Sunnyvale (small world).

Still researching this.  What CPU are you running?

* When an i7-5820K or i7-6800K CPU is installed, the U2_32G_1 connector becomes unavailable.

I don't see anything about RAID support on the U2 thus far

I see nothing regarding RAID support (any level) on the U2 connectors.  Also no boards I have seen recently support RAID across multiple interfaces since e-SATA went out of fashion years ago.

I haven't looked further at this.
