dare I ask if all those PCI-E slots go at at least 8x at the same time?

the board is pretty extreme, including liquid cooling blocks as standard.

Hi bofh1971

Yes, to be precise it's as follows:

4x PCI Express x16 slots, running at x16
3x PCI Express x16 slots, running at x8

I will upload the presentation about this MB in the first post today, it includes all details and specs.

I am very happy with my new UD9, pricey but feature rich. Very nice indeed, just like my last GA boards.

WOW ... one kick ass board  :o

You got that right, damn thing can handle 1500w for a bloody CPU, now where on earth do I find one of those? Overkill to the max :)

I have not even begun to play with mine, been too busy playing games to clock it.

I just bumped my i7 930 up to 3.2ghz without fiddling for the hell of it, and I even under-volted it by lots... The board doesn't seem to care, running my RAM at only 1.5v too.

I reckon when I do get around to exploring the limits, it is going to be a lot more forgiving than other boards. I hope I can get some ok figures and then settle into a nice 3.8ghz perm OC.

I have to say I totally love the CMOS CLR on the back of the case, no more opening side panels to reset when you push things too far.

I have always liked GA dual bios, and the UD9 is no exception, I am very happy to flash in Windows now, knowing I have a nice safety net.

The fact GA seems to be releasing flash updates fast (I presume in response to issues communicated to them like hanging in certain screens), is great. I imagine further performance enhancements will be forthcoming over time as well.

I am still amazed I shelled out so much for a motherboard, but I must say I love the thing.

Oh the northbridge seems nice and cool also which is great (not using water on it yet).

All in all very happy thus far with my new toy.
