Hello I am new to the forums just have been having a issue with my gigabte ga -z270x gaming k5 boards bios , problem is the ultra fast boot option does not work nor does it skip splash screen and boot fast to the point of pressing delete key doesn't work . I still see the American mega trends plash with press delete option ( gigabye splash turned off ) and have tried fast and off same thing.
Bios is current 7a beta from Web site
Windows 10 x64 ueif mode loaded on a intel m.2 drive 600p model 512gb. ,Sata ssd 250gb port 0 , hdd 1tb on port 1 , cd rom port 2 , csm mode disabled , intel secure boot enabled , last boot hdd only , usb = partial intial, no over clock cpu all defult , g.skill rgb 16gb 2 x 8 gb 2nd slot and 4th slot from cpu socket defult xmp 3000 mhz cl 14 14 14 34 c2 , tried with no xmp also .
Windows power options to fast boot on .
I can't get it to ultra fast boot no matter what
Probleme #2
When restarting pc from windows shuts down and pc shuts off , then turns on others in this forum have same issue there's and thread on it labeled " is this restart normal ?" They to say same thing when xmp is enabled restart pc shuts it down then she turns on like a cold boot not a restart . They say bios f5 , f6 , and current f7a beta do the same thing where's some gaming 7 owners say bios f4 or f5 fixes the issue ,
My question is is the f7a bios not letting fast boot work right and the xmp issue with it ? I can not down grade to f4 or f5 bios as the q flash won't let me down grade . Question is should I try and down grade it ? As I do have a dubble bios chips in case one gets corrupt or should I wait until a f8 bios comes out ?
How would one down grade safely ?
Some others state f4 or f5 bios let's them. Run 3200 mhz ram xmp up to 3866 xmp with out issues vs f7 or f6 enabling xmp.causes a blue screen. I mean ultra fast boot and the cold boot isn't that big of a deal but it's in the back or my mind . Currently I have the ram option set to enable ram fast boot ( skips trainING ) still no go .
