Vengeance LPX (CMK16GX4M2B3000C15) Crashes at 3000Mhz

Hoping someone can help with an issue I have with the above RAM crashing windows at 3000mhz.

I have tried setting to xmp profile 1 in the bios and also manually setting the speed and timings and still the system will crash. voltage has been set using the xmp profile and maually to the specified setting and the issue stays the same. However it will run fine with auto settings in bios but at 2133mhz.

System is Windows 10 Home x64, gigabyte Z170 Gaming k3 mainboard with latest bios CF. Gpu is gigabyte GTX 1070 gaming G1, Intel i7 6700k with a stable overclock at 4.6ghz. I ran strees tests for 5 hours and no errors.

If I stress test with the ram set to a xmp profile or manually setup in bios at 3000mhz the stress test will error after about 30 seconds. Or windows will crash to blue screen before I get chance to run stress test.

I have also changed the vccio voltage up to 1.25v and the system agent voltage upto 1.35v and still crashes/fails stress tests at 3000mhz.

Anyone have any ideas what could be the problem?

Well it is on the approved list. But it also points out that 2133 is the native speed. Try one slot at a time to see if maybe you got a mixed set. Otherwise try to step it up one space at a time

Hello,

Default clocked 6700K does 3000Mhz XMP work?
If not, does a default clocked 6700K with XMP but 16-18-18-36 (tCAS-tRCD-tRP-tRAS) work?

And try swapping the slots, 1+3 vs 2+4
