EP45-UD3P rev 1.6 [3 Bug Reports]
« on: May 12, 2010, 07:47:12 pm »
Hello,

I have 3 bug reports.

1. Windows Experience Index under Windows 7 x64 ultimate refuses to run unless "Quick Boot" is disabled in the BIOS.

2. Realtek LAN shuts off permanently after power supply is turned off.  Windows reports error code "This device cannot start (Code 10)".  The only way to fix this is to load BIOS defaults.

3. If computer freezes and you have to do a hard reset (pushing power button w/o letting OS shut down), the board will go into a reboot loop until you do a Parameter Recall by either unplugging the power supply or flipping the PSU switch to OFF.  Of course, once you do this, it results in bug  #2 [see top].

Is there any chance of these issues being fixed in a BIOS update? The board is getting outdated so I'm worried.  I bought my first 2 gigabyte boards this year and have never had so many problems with any motherboard, plz pass this on to your tech support.  Also, I am a computer repair technician and have the skills to troubleshoot the obvious, so please don't say "Use system restore" or "Turn off your antivirus" -- it's a problem with the board not my antivirus.

System specs bellow:
Windows 7 Ultimate x64
EP45-UD3P
Q9550 (not overclocked)
EVGA 275 GTX
2 x 2GB RAM (yes they on Gigabyte's QVL)
650W Power supply

Thanks for the assistance

Using the correct 64 bit driver for that device??  Also running latest version for the bios? That may solve your #3 problem.
