I bought a Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H motherboard (Rev 2.0) that I'm now using in a mediacenter pc. The problem is that when I connect the pc to the television using hdmi I can only use a resolution of maximum 800X600 (all higher resolutions, tried on different refreshmodes etc., don't work). I just get a blue screen on the television which means it gets no (recognizable) input. I can however get a 1360X768 resolution on the screen but by using the VGA-out (my television has a VGA-in).
I've googled a lot about this, and I found other people having the same problem (with the same motherboard but with different televisions!), but I have not found a descent solution yet.
I have already tried to update motherboarddrivers and the ATI Catalyst, but without result.
Gigabyte promised me onboard full HD, so I hope they can keep their promises.
The stuff:
Motherboard: GA-MA78GM-S2H (Rev 2.0) - HD3200 Graphics onboard
Processor: AMD Phenom X3 8450 2.1Ghz Boxed
Memory: Kingston 2X2Gb 1066Mhz CL5
Television: Toshiba Regza 42XV555D (Full HD)
Thanks in advance for every help and suggestion.
