I went to a friend of mine today and tried to move his motherboard and stuff from his PC case ( white ) to my old one ( black ) . Stupid me forgot to look which cable goes where ( the HDD activity led , the power led , the power switch and the reset switch ) . i tried quite a few combinations and and didn't get any thing , just the LED's being constantly on which is not supposed to happen . What is the worst that could happen , besides burning the LED's . here are simo pictures :

.... as i think , a good PC expert knows where to put any cable on ony motherboard . I forgot to mention that it runs with an AMD AThlon at 1700 mhz on socket A ...

If you put the switch connections acrossthe wrong terminals you make a dead short which can kill the motherboard! My son did this recently and ended up replacing his setup.

Hi,
If you can locate the Mobo number and revision you can download the user manual from Gigabyte's site. The Manual will give you the correct header positions for your Chassis cables.
