GA-X58A-UD3R off to a Bad Start

Finally made jump from ASUS to GB but am running into all sorts of trouble.

System:
 i7 930, Corsair 6GB 1600 C7, ASUS EAH5670, 750W PC Power & Cooling, Lian Li PC S80B, EMU 1820, Pioneer BD RE
Boot drive Intel X-25m, Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit

Questions

1) Do I need F6 floppy install to run ACHI on Intel and JMB esata? (manual says I do, ran fine on Vista without)
2) Should I  manually tweak DRAM settings or are defaults okay?
3) Only way I could boot after OS install on SSD was in RAID mode. Drive is installed on port 3. Does it have to be on port 0?
4) None of the e-sata ports are functioning with IDE, RAID or AHCI controller. Any tips to get this working?

Installing mobo was pain. There is about 0.5 inch between sata ports and drive cage!  >:(

System takes 15 min. to boot and 10 min to shut down. Temps are fine, once booted system runs stable.

Any help is much appreciated.
