With all 4 dimms occupied it may not be possible to achieve rated speed. You may have to try 1000 or 800. If you have errors in memtest then you will have to run each stick individually to find the on thats bad. If you want to run 4g of ram then I suggest you run 2x2g sticks.

Also your board may not be compatible to run 4 sticks of that ram!

Have you tried just getting one slot working.  I had a problem with Corsair memory and a 4GB kit.  I ended up trying them one at a time. One was actually defective and I had to ask for a replacement.  I personally have not gone to 1066 just because of all the problems people seem to have getting them to work.  I have also heard that you could try setting the BIOS to its default, install the memory and boot.  It should detect the new settings for the  memory to work.  I am Leary of that one though as you lose all your custom settings unless you have a way to back them up somehow.  Any way, good luck.

Hmm thing with default is that it sets 5-7-7-24 and not 5-5-5-15 and i think it errors up in memtest too...

I think that sticks are fine but i will test soon one by one..

Also QVL for rams says nothing about 2GB sticks and is really very short, but there u can see model cm2x1024-8500c5 which is like mine only i have a 'd' in the end...

So i guess corsair wasnt a good choice here...thanks anyway guys, will come back with memtest results on each dimm

Seems that i have found a window to the error wall!!!

number games got me pass memtest at 960 and timings at 5-7-7-22...(along with fsb 320 which i had 266 until now)

So now that i am stable here also any speed wiz tell if this is faster than 800@5-5-5-18 ? (leave the overclocked cpu outside)

Still running smoothly at 960 @ 5-7-7-22

But is this faster that 800 @ 5-5-5-18 ?
