I presume this is just an informative video, since "OC Hotkey" stuff I imagine is not new, given utilities on GA sites are not updated at all?

I don't imagine I will need this feature, I use BIOS for any clocking, but I can see it could have its uses for quick playing around.

Looks nice, thanks for putting it up.

Hi Ven & thanks for directing me to these forums.  Will this Hotkey feature make it easier for OC-ing noobs like me to adjust settings or is it really just leveraging off existing functionality in ET6?

Cheers,

I think it all helps in giving you more control but it's the cloud OC that is the biggest step forward in my opinion. To be able to OC your machine(or anyone else's) from a distance is great. I'm just a little concerned that it might be possible to abuse it's use.

It's interesting technology but let's be honest about it, how many people are actually going to use it?
I see this more as an exercise in potential rather than fulfilling an urgent need.

And, as Dark Mantis also says:

it might be possible to abuse it's use
I can imagine the consequences if this happens.

As with anything like this it only appeals to a reasonably small group of enthusiasts on the whole but that doesn't make it any the less of a breakthrough. A lot of really useful things started off in a sidestream of technology.

When a world class over clocker like dinos22 tell me he would use it, I listen :)

Oh I doubt it, do you honestly think GA would make some util which can easily be abused?

I presume it would be just as secure as anything wireless (which usually only fall down when idiots use lame passwords)

HotKey OC has been launched officially:

http://www.giga-byte.co.uk/microsite/207/hot-key-oc.html

Some new video about it:

HotKey OC is NOT wireless, so rather can't be abused. I think you may have mixed it up with Cloud OC:

This is an old thread, but I think a solution is needed for future reference. I am using GIGABYTE HotKey OC technology. It is good to use but not best, I am using it so many times just  used it only one or two times.

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

Well you need a Gigabyte motherboard system with the HotKey OC program running and thats about it really. It just allows you control over your system when you might not normallly be able to access it. ;)
