4GB Corsair CMX4GX3M2A1600C9 compatible with G41MT-ES2L??
« on: June 22, 2010, 11:54:10 pm »
Hi All!

I saw the really nice deal of 4GB Corsair CMX4GX3M2A1600C9 at newegg.com.
I would like to get this ram if my motherboard can support it.
I checked QVL list. I know it will be downgraded as 1066 but I have to wait until more fund is available. ;)
G41Mt-ES2L is just kind of a temporary.
If anybody have experience with these item or knowledge, please leave any comment for me. I think this deal won't be last long.
Thank you!!

It should be ok, I don't see any reason why not.

Yes if the deal is that good and only temporary I wouls suggest that you grab it. The Cosair Ram is excellent, it's a shame it's not the Dominator but it is still good memory.

Not really 99% of people don't clock high enough to need timings Doms use, and the fan stuff is pure gimmick :)

Unless he plans to wring the neck of his CPU, pointless to spend those kind of prices.

No, I was referring to the 1600 mhz Dominators without the fan cooling otherwise I would have to agree.

Much more affordable yes.

I still say most people really should steer clear of RAM that simply don't need, most normal folk don't push their machines enough to need CL7 or better, if that was the case we would all be using Mushkin or Doms :)

I settled for 12gb of OCZ PC3-12800 Platinum 3x2GB OCZ3P1600LV6GK CL7 @ $548.. ouch!
