I TAKE OFF PSU AND FOR MY SURPRISE...ALL USB DEVICES, BACK CMOS LED+POWER LED INSIDE BOARD STAY CONNECTED...
WITHOUT PSU AFTER 1 NIGHT I HAVE LIGHT OS EXTERNAL DRIVE ON,ON ALL I HAVE SAID BEFORE..
I TRY CONTACT GIGABYTE TECHNICAL SERVICE,THEY TOLD ME TO TALK WITH VENDOR...
VENDOR DOES NOT EXIST ANYMORE...
WHERE ARE GIGABYTE SUPPORT AND WARRANTY WHEN WE NEED THEM ?

Two things ... Please dont shout(capitols) and it isn't April the first ;D

Seriously are you saying that you removed the PSU and the computer still had power? ??? Please list all your components.

yes like i told .after some troubles i contact ozc and gigabyte.
ocz give me rma without problems.last night i removed psu intended to rma memory... for my surprise this morning both blue leds from board, handy charger and external hard drive .. all with lights on...
now i'm sure it's not memory and even psu problem.

GTX 280 xfx
zalman cnps 10x extreme with 1 fan led
2 rear fan led
3 front fan led
1 side fan without led

and motherboard EX58-UD5 with bios f7 after some troubles and restarts"retrieving recovery from hpa.."

OK, sorry to doubt you but I think that maybe we have a language problem here. Are you actually saying that you physically removed the Power Supply Unit from the case and yet in the next morning there was still power to the motherboard etc? I just can't believe that the motherboards capacitors could hold a charge for anything like that length of time. Can you fully list your components please.

yes , thats what i'm tolding here.
i'm not a pro.. but i understand a little.
after 1 night long led blue in back of case,led blue inside with the power symbol, handy charger for htc hd2 with light on,and the external hdd iomega 500 with white light on.
he started with a start problem,them i made an e-mail to ocz and gigabyte.
ocz give me rma in same day,without memorys pc don't work then i resolved take off psu like that..that's when i got surprised too with this miracle .. O.o

Well I really don't understand how it's happening but I would patent it before someone else does ;D If only laptops would last as long disconnected!

ya. i'm seeing that gigabyte made boards that don't need psu to work..
i'm gonna try put a photo in here without psu and lights on.
but the worst is that i payed 300€ for a psu and 300€ for motherboard and support is miles away the best one..

If you've got a powered USB device connected to the PC, there can be enough power on the 5v USB port to light a few LED's inside the PC as they're getting 5v from the external device.
Unbelievable but true.
