So my 870A-UD3 v3.1 with an AMD-Phenom II X6 1090T has been running rock solid for several years, but needs a Win-10 BIOS to ever hope to upgrade to an AM3+ processor.
I don't see a BIOS update for Win10 (I'm running an Enterprise Win10 with creators update).
Anyone seen a BIOS for this board and Win10 that will enable AM3+ CPUs?
Pete
You never got an answer on this, so let me quickly jump in, but you probably have your problem already sorted out.
AM3 cpu's can be used in AM3+ socket, but not the other way around. You want to use a AM3+ cpu on a AM3 motherboard, that unfortunately is not possible. No BIOS update will enable that...
I run the same cpu as you, with Win 10 installed. If all you want is install Win 10 go ahead, you won't have all the proper drivers, since your mobo only has support until Win 8. If you have a SSD a a system drive, just replace the AMD controller with the Windows Controller (AHCI), under Device Manager (

I fully understand you, I've been running the 1090T for 7 years now and it's running perfectly smooth still.
If I were you, I would wait still 1-2 years, then Zen 3 (7nm) will be out. I will wait 2 more years to upgrade my rig.
Cheers
